Er werd enkele jaren geleden gestart met de vervanging van de deurcilinders door een eenvormig systeem met elektromechanische veiligheidscilinders. Het systeem bestaat uit elektromechanische en mechanische cilinders en sleutels, een programmeertoestel en software. Aan de eigenschappen van een mechanisch sluitsysteem worden nog de voordelen van een elektronisch systeem toegevoegd; eenvoudige herprogrammering van cilinders (voor aanpassingen van het sluitplan) en onmiddellijke blokkering van verloren sleutel.
